Dell Unveils Ubuntu PCs in Europe

As expected, Dell and Canonical have unveiled two Ubuntu PCs outside of the United States. The Inspiron 6400n and the Inspiron 530n are now available in the United Kingdom, Germany and France. I am hoping that Ubuntu will eventually make its way to Dell Canada.

Charlie Tebbs, the marketing director at Dell had this to say:

“Dell is continuing to deliver on our commitment to give customers what they’re asking for — the option of choosing Linux as their operating system. As we hear from customers throughout Europe and around the world, we will continue to explore the opportunities to expand our offerings globally, so stay tuned.”

It sounds to me like this is not the end of Dell rolling out Ubuntu world-wide.
