Pidgin 2.0 Released

Ars Technica has a review of the final 2.0 release of Pidgin (formerly Gaim). Legal trouble has prevented a non-beta release, but now that it has been cleared up with the name change, a non-beta release has finally arrived. Pidgin should be in the Ubuntu repositories in a few days.

After months of development and numerous beta releases, Pidgin 2.0 is finally ready. A significant improvement over the current 1.5.x series, Pidgin 2.0 includes several compelling features and usability enhancements.
