Updated Flash 9 Beta
Flash Player 9 Update 3 for Linux was released today. Most notably, the player is now a GTK application. The other major improvement is that full screen view now works, which is great for watching YouTube videos. Download the installer from this page.
I updated my Flash installation with Adobe’s installer and it worked perfectly with Firefox on Ubuntu.

The most notable features of interest to Linux users: Fullscreen mode works on Linux, and the entire thing has been reworked as a native GTK app that communicates with the hosting web browser using the XEmbed protocol. Hopefully, your favorite Linux web browser also holds up its end of the bargain by hosting XEmbed applications.
