Ubuntu 7.10 Tribe 1 Released
The first alpha of the next version of Ubuntu has been released. It looks like there is lots of cool stuff coming in October when the final release of Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon” is out. Here are some of the cool new things in this alpha:
- New development release of GNOME
- New kernel with dynticks and new wireless stack
- Updated packages from Debian
- Better automatic codec installation
- New Xorg and graphical config tool
- Improvements to usplash
