		<description>It&#039;s not necessary to store an encryption key anywhere. Probably what is done is that a tag is stored at the end of every data block.  The tag can be used to validate whether the output of the decryption operation is valid.

This also means that if the encryption key is lost, there is no way to recover the data.</description>
