		<description>Agreed on handling usb issues.  I use Amarok on on Gnome system. Whenever I transfer files to my mp3 device (mass storage, like a usb stick), I disconnect and both Amarok and Gnome tells me it&#039;s disconnected.  But the device still shows up on the desktop.  

If I just unplug at that point, I get the warning that what I just did is dangerous, I should disconnect first, etc., even though I just disconnected.  (There&#039;s never any data corruption.) 

If I unmount the device from the desktop, it tells me it&#039;s not there, and when I unplug, there&#039;s no warnings.

It&#039;s just... ungraceful.</description>

		<description>Cleaning up removable media handling should be a nice change. These days everyone and his dog are using usb flash sticks. Gnome&#039;s provisions for copying, deleting, ejecting, etc. could all be a bit slicker.</description>
